The Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm was operated in the 1860s by J.B. and Lucinda Mahaffie.
Of the original 570 acres, 20 acres remain as an official National Park Service site on the
Santa Fe Trail. The grounds are used for many special events and programs celebrating Kansas history.
Special events include Kansas Heritage, the Civil War, Wild West Shows, and Victorian Christmas.
Civil War on the Border brings together reenactors staging representative skirmishes and battles
of the time as well as providing living history of locally significant activities.
