Botanica
Botanica is a garden spot, located in the Museums on the River District
in Wichita, Kansas. It features 24 themed gardens including the Butterfly
Garden, Shakespeare Garden, Rose Garden, Wildflower Garden and the Sally
Stone Sensory Garden. The Butterfly House is filled with butterflies
from June until September. The Sensory Garden caters to all of the senses,
including touch and smell.
In addition, in the center of Wichita lies a large pond and an impressive
collection of aquatic plants, including water lilies, reeds, lily pads, and fish.
Botanica offers a haven from the large city and a center of tranquility and serenity
where the beauties of our gardens can offer peace.
